Founded in 1971 in Detroit, the business supports heavy industry across the Midwest. We are known for our in-stock heavy plate in hard-to-find thicknesses, up to 24″. In 2024, we were purchased by Houston-based Ranger Steel. Ranger Steel adds a broader size range to our plate portfolio as well as an expanded footprint. We are now able to ship from ten distribution sites across the Midwest and Southwest, strategically located close to today’s building, construction, manufacturing, and industrial centers.

We source our plate from ISO-certified and approved steel mills both domestically and globally. Our products are fully traceable to the producer and are supported by original mill documentation.
